This scholarship is for high school seniors, college students, and
graduate students. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be
nominated by an active Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA) member in good standing, be 26 years old or
younger, and plan to enroll in vocational, college, or post-college
studies. Applicants are not required to be members of or have any
connection with PDCA.
For 30 years PDCA has been able to award scholarships to deserving students because of the A. E. Robert Friedman-PDCA Scholarship Fund. The A.E. Robert Friedman-PDCA Scholarship Fund was formed in 1978 to honor Bob Friedman on the occasion of his fortieth anniversary as legal counsel for the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America. He served in that capacity until 1981.
