The University of Arizona Fostering Success

Fostering Success is a community on campus to support U of A students who have experienced the foster care system, are struggling with homelessness, or lack a natural support system. Their support structure of peer-to-peer mentorship with professional support staff available for consultation and referrals, and their commitment to evolving based on the needs of participants provides a unique space for UA students to overcome their individual barriers and gain the confidence to know they will be successful adults. Birthday Mail

2.5 million U.S. youth experience homelessness every year. Many kids’ birthdays fall while they are in a shelter, making it hard to celebrate. Applicant must make a card to make a child smile on their birthday. For every two cards, applicant will receive an entry for the scholarship. Applicant can get up to five entries for the scholarship (10 cards).

Award: $5,000
