As America continues to become more diverse, the nation's ability to achieve sustained growth and prosperity hinges on how quickly we can erase lingering racial and class divides and fully apply everyone's talents and creativity to building the next economy.
Join the Insight Center's Closing the Racial Wealth Gap Initiative, PolicyLink, and Tom Shapiro, Director of the Institute on Assets and Social Policy at Brandeis University, for a free webinar presenting breakthrough research on what has been fueling our country's growing racial wealth divide for the past 25 years.
Angela Glover Blackwell, Founder and CEO of PolicyLink, will moderate a panel of experts on the policy implications of this new research. Panelists will discuss issues of home-ownership in communities of color, the impact of unemployment, our nation's tax structure, and more.
Speakers include:
  • Janis Bowdler, Director of Economic Policy with National Council of La Raza
  • Chuck Collins, Director of the Program on Inequality and the Common Good at the Institute for Policy Studies
  • Saru Jayaraman, Co-founder of Restaurant Opportunities Centers United
  • Deanne Loonin, Staff Attorney at National Consumer Law Center.
