Ron Brown Scholar Program

Ron Brown Scholar Program

This scholarship is for African American high school seniors who will make significant contributions to society. To qualify, applicants must excel academically, exhibit exceptional leadership potential, participate in community service activities, and demonstrate financial need. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents. If applicants submit their application before November 1, they are also considered for a select and limited number of additional scholarships from other providers.

Award: $10,000

Deadline: Jan. 9, 2015

Jack & Jill of America Foundation Scholarship

United Negro College Fund (UNCF)

This scholarship is for African American high school seniors who will become students and maintain full-time status at an accredited, four-year post-secondary institution in the upcoming fall semester. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a 3.0 GPA and be working toward a bachelor's degree. Applicants must demonstrate that they have performed at least one community service project. Dependents of members of Jack & Jill of America are not eligible for this scholarship.

Award: $1500-$2500

Deadline: May 25, 2014
