To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be younger than 23, have a 3.0 unweighted GPA, and be enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited US college/university in fall 2015. Applicants should ensure that they, as well as their sponsor, are currently enrolled in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) database and that they have a current dependent military ID card. Applicants who receive an appointment to one of the US Military Academies (or affiliated preparatory schools) or are awarded a full scholarship at any accredited US post-secondary institution are not eligible for this scholarship. The goal of this scholarship program is to award at least one scholarship per commissary location that receives applications from eligible students.
