The QuestBridge College Prep Scholars Program gives outstanding low-income high school juniors an early advantage in college admissions.

College Prep Scholars are uniquely prepared to gain admission and full scholarships to top-tier colleges through QuestBridge. American Go Foundation College Scholarship

This scholarship is for juniors and seniors attending a high school in the United States or its territories. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have served as important youth organizers and promoters for the American Go community. Applicants who have started clubs and promoted Go in areas where there is not a current, strong Go community will be given special consideration. Strong players who spend much of their time voluntarily teaching will also be considered, although the award is focused more on Go promoters and organizers who have substantially contributed during their Go career. Applicants must be planning to attend a college or university and not be more than 20 years of age as of January 1 of the year the award is made.

Annual Signet Classic Scholarship Essay Contest - $1000

Open to 11th and 12th grade full-time matriculated students who are attending high schools located in the fifty United States and the District of Columbia, or home-schooled students between the ages of 16-18 who are residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia.

Student Scholarship Essay Contest, in which five high school juniors or seniors can each win a $1000 scholarship award to be used toward their higher education plus a Signet Classics library for their school! The Nordstrom Scholarship Program - $10,000

Nordstrom is excited to award $10,000 scholarships to 80 outstanding high school students to help them achieve their dreams of going to college. The Nordstrom Scholarship recognizes students across the country for their exceptional scholastic achievement and community involvement. 

The Nordstrom Scholarship is open to high school juniors who:

• Live and attend school in a state with a Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack store. Not sure if there's a store in your state? See store locations.
• Have at least a 2.7 GPA.
• Volunteer or participate in community service or extracurricular activities.
• Plan on attending an accredited college or university during all four years over which the scholarship is distributed. (The scholarship is paid out in equal installments of $2,500.)
• Plan on applying for financial assistance in order to attend college.

It's easy to submit your application for a Nordstrom Scholarship. Here's how the selection process works:

Now through May 1, 2013 (by 3pm Pacific).

2. SEMI-FINALISTS SELECTED
Semi-finalists are selected by regional selection committees and will be notified via e-mail.

3. FINALISTS SELECTED
All finalists are interviewed in person or via videoconference.

Alexander Hamilton Friends Association Scholarship - $500 award

This scholarship is for college-bound high school juniors who are currently attending a high school in the United States. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a strong record of community service, show a strong commitment to their academic studies, and demonstrate financial and/or personal need. Applicants must be self-starters, and have proven this through activities such as organizing a fundraiser, starting a business, creating a club or organization, or working to help support their family. Applicants must also show passion and commitment to their interests; this is often manifested in athletic, artistic, or academic achievements. Recipients of this scholarship are automatically enrolled in the Hamilton Leaders Academy (see website for details).
