This scholarship is for students with disabilities who are pursuing a higher education. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate school or part- or full-time in a graduate school, have a documented disability, and provide documentation of their disability. Applicants must be US citizens or legal residents of the United States, and be enrolled in an accredited university. Preference will be given to students who plan to pursue undergraduate/graduate studies in the field of public health, health promotion, disability studies, to include disability policy and disability research.

Award: $1000

APHA Get Ready Scholarship

This scholarship is for US high school seniors graduating in the current year who plan to further their education at a college, university, or certified trade school in the summer or fall after graduation; currently enrolled US college or university students who will be continuing their studies at the undergraduate or graduate level in in the summer or fall of the current year; or currently enrolled US college or university graduate students who will be continuing their studies at the graduate level in the summer or fall of the current year. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit an essay on a given topic related to public health.

Award: $400
