General Scholarship Opportunities
AFFCF provides $2,500 a semester for university students and $1,000 a semester for community college or vocational school students. The scholarship process is competitive. Scholarship funds are given out on a first come, first served basis, giving preference to those students applying to renew their current AFFCF scholarships.

Blavin Scholarship Opportunity (offered at Northern Arizona University only)
A partnership between Paul/Amy Blavin, NAU and AFFCF is helping Arizona’s children in foster care earn bachelor’s degrees and confidently begin the rest of their lives. The Blavin/AFFCF Scholars Program is designed to help children in the foster care system navigate their way through a large bureaucratic system and improve their academic experience by providing tools and services such as:
- Academic assistance (planning and skill-building)
- Financial Aid assistance
- Career and personal assistance
- Year-round housing and summer employment
- Consistent university health services contact
- Faculty Mentor and leadership
