The Bruce Lee Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2013 scholarship. The Bruce Lee Foundation Scholarship Program was founded eleven years ago and the program has been growing ever since. The purpose of the Scholarship Program is to provide a financial award of $1,000.00 to one or more students who understand, appreciate and exemplify Bruce Lee’s passion for education as well as his qualities of honest expression, forward thought, self-exploration, and assertiveness. The scholarships are available to students age 16 and older who will be attending or are already attending a two-year college, four-year university, or licensed trade and vocational school in the United States. Criteria used in evaluating applicants include, but is not limited to, involvement in extra-curricular activities/community service/work experience, future potential and knowledge of Bruce Lee.
The scholarship is open to high school seniors and above. All scholarships will be paid directly to the educational institution that the applicant is currently attending or will be attending. This scholarship may be used to cover the costs of tuition, books, fees, and room and board. Proof of enrollment must be provided prior to disbursement of the scholarship. The total amount awarded to each recipient will be $1,000.00.
