Healthcare Jobs for Low-Income Pima County Residents Info

Information sessions for college assistance program

Information sessions for low-income Pima County residents who are interested in jobs in the health care industry are being held at 9:30 a.m. every Friday at the Rio Nuevo One-Stop Career Center, 340 N. Commerce Park Loop.

Attending an information session is the first step to participating in the Pima Community College Pathways to Healthcare Program. The program provides assistance with tuition, fees, books and other support needs as well as opportunities to earn a college certificate or degree for a variety of jobs in the medical field.

The program is funded by a Health Profession Opportunity Grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. To be eligible to participate in the program, a person must be at or below 70 percent of the Lower Living Income Standards set by the U.S. Department of Labor or receiving nutritional or financial assistance from the Arizona Department of Economic Security.
