American Legion Baseball Scholarship

This scholarship is for high school baseball players who are on the American Legion National Baseball roster that has been filed with national headquarters. Applicants must be a part of a team affiliated with an American Legion Post. The scholarship may be used to attend an a state accredited, post-secondary school. Any team manager or head coach of an American Legion (Post-affiliated) team may nominate one player for consideration of this award. Applicants must have three letters of recommendation, one each from the following: legion coach or team manager; American Legion Post Commander or Adjutant; and a community leader (i.e., teacher, minister, scout leader, church leader, principal). Each department baseball committee will select a player from their department to receive this scholarship. Scholarship recipients must graduate from an accredited high school to be eligible to receive their scholarships and utilize the total award within eight years of their graduation date, excluding active military duty.

Award: $2500-$5000
