ACS Scholars Program

American Chemical Society (ACS)

This scholarship award is for African American, American Indian, and Hispanic students who are planning to pursue full-time study in a chemically-related field. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be graduating high school seniors, college freshmen, college sophomores, or college juniors; have a 3.0 GPA; demonstrate financial need; and planning a career in the chemical sciences.

Award: $2500-$5000

Deadline: March 1, 2015

UA Hispanic Alumni Club Scholarship

The University of Arizona Hispanic Alumni Club (UAHA) is grateful to their alumni members, friends, and the UA for the support they provide to their organization. Through this support they are fortunate to be able to offer scholarship opportunities to new incoming freshmen, transfer students, graduate and professional students.  

Award: up to $16,000

La Unidad Latina Foundation Scholarships

This scholarship is for Hispanic students who are currently enrolled in an eligible bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited four-year college or university. Eligible degrees include all bachelor's degrees, Master of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Public Administration/Policy, Master of Social Work, Master of Education, and Master of Divinity. Undergraduate students must have completed at least one full-time year of study and have a cumulative GPA between 2.8 and 3.6, and graduate students must have completed at least one full-time semester. Applicants also must reside in the United States. Note that scholarship applications are only accepted within the 45-day period prior to the deadline.

Deadline: Oct 15

Award: $250-$1000

Denny's Hungry for Education Scholarship--$1,000 Full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate students attending a 2-year or 4-year HACU-member institutions in AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, NM, NY, NV, SC, and TX. Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 with a declared major in Business or Hospitality. Students will be required to complete a 500 word essay on how Denny's can help in the fight against childhood hunger in the United States. Upon notification of selection, scholarship recipients are required to submit a headshot electronically to HACU for Denny’s press purposes.

Upon notification of selection, scholarship recipients are required to submit a headshot electronically to HACU for NASCAR press purposes.
Travelers Scholarship--$5,000 Full-time undergraduate students attending 4-year HACU-member institutions with a declared major in Accounting, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, General Business, General Management, and Human Resources. Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
