Math-O-Vision Contest

This contest is for registered high school students (grades 9-12) and equivalent home schooled students who are at least 13 years of age. To qualify, applicants must be legal residents of the United States. To apply, applicants must create a movie of no more than four minutes in length that is a story inspired by or related to mathematics. Movies will be judged based on creativity, relevance to mathematics, quality, and entertainment value.

This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who are members of one of the underrepresented minority groups in the sciences and related areas of technology (African American, Hispanic, or Native American). To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must plan to major in business, engineering, technology, mathematics, or physical science. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum overall 3.0 GPA in math and science courses.

Catching the Dream

This scholarship is for students who are at least one-quarter American Indian and are enrolled members of a US tribe that is federally recognized, state-recognized, or terminated. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have high GPA and test scores and be enrolled in an accredited US college/university on a full-time basis. The six priority majors are math majors, engineering majors, science majors, business majors, education majors, and computer science majors.

Mutual of Omaha Actuarial Scholarship for Minority Students

Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company

This scholarship is for minorities who are enrolled as full-time college undergraduate students. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be majoring in actuarial science or mathematics with the goal of pursuing an actuarial career. Applicants must have passed at least one actuarial exam and completed at least 24 semester hours. If selected, applicants must complete one summer internship at Mutual of Omaha's home office in Omaha, Nebraska, and therefore, must be willing to relocate to Omaha, Nebraska, for the summer. All applicants must be US citizens, permanent residents, or recipients of refugee status from the US Department of Homeland Security.

APS Hopi Scholars Program

This scholarship is for American Indians who are enrolled members of the Hopi Tribe. To qualify, applicants must be high school graduates/GED recipients and be full-time sophomores, juniors, or seniors admitted to a regionally accredited college or university. Applicants must be pursuing an AAS, AS, BA, or BS in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, or math), nursing, or education, and have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.
