This scholarship is for high school seniors who are US citizens and of good character. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have been accepted by a college or university and be studying in the area of law enforcement/criminal justice.

Irlet Anderson Scholarship Award

This scholarship is for current high school seniors who will receive a diploma prior to the award announcement (before August 2013). To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be pursuing a degree in any of the social sciences, including technology, forensic investigations, and other criminal investigative studies, to further a career in law enforcement or criminal justice. Applicants must have a 3.7 GPA, demonstrate financial need, be accepted to an accredited academic institution, and be US citizens.

Award: $3500

Matthews & Swift Educational Trust Scholarships

These scholarships are for children of members of the Knights of Columbus in good standing who, while serving in the military forces of his/her country in a combat zone, were killed, wounded, or determined permanently disabled. Scholarships may also be awarded to children of full-time law enforcement officer or firefighter members in good standing who, while on duty, died as a result of criminal violence. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must apply to a Catholic college or university. Scholarship applications must be filed within two years of the date of the death of the family member.

Deadline: March 1, 2014

Award: $25,000
