BEF General Academic Scholarships

The Boomer Esiason Foundation’s General Academic Scholarships assist Cystic Fibrosis patients pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees. Grants are awarded quarterly on the basis of demonstrated need and academic accomplishment. They are made directly to the academic institution to assist in covering the cost of tuition and fees. This scholarship is for one year only.

Amount: $500 to $2,500

Deadlines: March 15, June 15, September 15 and December 15

Requirements:

The BEF Scholarship Program committee considers the applicant’s scholastic ability, character, leadership potential, service to the community and need for financial assistance. Once candidates have been selected as semi-finalists, they will be granted a phone interview with a committee member.

Applicants are required to provide all of the following documents in order to be considered:

• Application 
• Essay 
• Recent photo 
• Letter from physician (on letterhead) confirming 
• CF diagnosis and therapy routine 
• Transcript (high school, college and/or graduate school) 
• Letter of acceptance from academic institution 
• Detailed breakdown of tuition costs from academic institution 
• W2 form for both parents OR tax return if self-employed

The Tostitos Cesar Chavez Latino Scholarship Fund

The Tostitos Cesar Chavez Latino Scholarship Fund is awarding scholarships to students of Latino descent who are beginning or continuing their studies at an Arizona higher education institution. The fund provides financial assistance to qualified Latino/a Arizona students in an effort to promote academic success. Tostitos Cesar Chavez Latino Scholarship Fund recipients will be honored at the annual Si Se Puede Gala presented by the Cesar Chavez Foundation. Award recipients will be required to complete 30 hours of service to the
PepsiCo/Frito Lay Adelante Employee Group within 12 months of award.

Financial assistance may be provided, as determined by a Career Counselor, for tuition, fees, books, transportation, childcare or emergency assistance.
