The Christopher W. Keyser Undergraduate Scholarship

Scholarship is open to undergraduate students enrolled in a four-year college or university in the United States with an interest in the legal or criminal justice fields. Washington Media Scholars Foundation

This scholarship is for rising college juniors and seniors in good academic standing. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be full-time, degree-seeking students whose major or minor prepares them for a career in strategic public policy, advertising research, management, planning, and buying. These include, but are not limited to, mass communications, journalism, marketing (business or mass communications), and political science. Applicants must also have a minimum 3.0 GPA in their major concentration. Graduate students are not eligible.

Leroy F. Aarons Scholarship Award

National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA)

This scholarship is for students who are planning to pursue a career in journalism. Applicants must demonstrate an awareness of the issues facing the LGBT community and the importance of fair and accurate news coverage. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be high school seniors or current undergraduate students who who will attend a US community college or four-year university full-time; or undergraduate students who have been accepted for their first year at a US graduate school. For undergraduates, a declared major in journalism and/or communications is desirable but not required. Graduate students must be enrolled in a journalism program. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must provide a one-page resume and five work samples and write and publish a news story to tumblr of words and multimedia (must pick one story topic from a list of four). Inter American Press Association Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to Latin American scholars to study for a year at a US or Canadian journalism school, and for US and Canadian scholars to spend an academic year studying and reporting in Latin America or the Caribbean. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be between 21 and 35 years of age with good command of the language they will use; US and Canadian applicants must prove fluency in Spanish or Portuguese, and Latin American applicants must prove fluency in English or French. Where experience is a prime consideration for this scholarship, three years of professional journalism is required. Study and work plan must be submitted for consideration for this scholarship.

This scholarship is for rising college juniors and seniors in good academic standing.
