Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship

National AIDS Memorial Grove 

This scholarship is for high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors (ages 26 and younger) who demonstrate an active commitment to fighting AIDS and have taken on roles of public service and leadership (for example, providing peer-based prevention and education; advocacy or activism; public awareness; and/or practical, emotional, or treatment support to people living with HIV/AIDS). Applicants also must intend to pursue a career that will have a clear and demonstrable impact on the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

Bryce Thomson Scholarship Award

National Ice Cream Retailers Association (NICRA)

This scholarship is for employees of active members in good standing of the NICRA. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be high school seniors or college freshmen, sophomores, or juniors. Applicants must display a strong academic record, leadership in both school and community activities or part-time work schedule, and demonstrate financial need. Scholarships will be awarded based on need, academic excellence, and the submitted essay. Applicants must have a letter of recommendation from their employer, who is an active member in good standing of NICRA.

National Retail Federation (NRF) Foundation

This scholarship is for college sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students who are enrolled full-time at a US college or university when the scholarship is to be awarded in October 2014. To qualify, applicants must be ambitious, curious, adaptable, and have the potential to impact the future of digital retail. Applicants do not have to be in a retail program or major to apply, but should be able to explain how their chosen major is relevant to digital retail. Applicants must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA and be US citizens or legal US residents eligible to work in the United States. See website for more details.

MassMutual Scholars

This scholarship is open to entering sophomores, juniors, seniors, and 5th-year seniors in pursuit of an undergraduate degree at an accredited college or university. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must plan to attend a degree-seeking program, full-time at a US accredited institution in the US, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, or Guam during the 2014-2015 academic year. Applicants must also have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. All majors will be considered. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the insurance and financial services industry, and to those who demonstrate leadership and participation in extracurricular activities. Applicants also must apply for federal financial aid by completing the FAFSA and show proof of US citizenship or legal permanent residency with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.

GEICO Achievement Award

This award is for full-time undergraduate sophomores and juniors. To qualify, applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA (out of a 4.0 scale) and be majoring in business, computer science, mathematics, or a related program. Awards are given based on evidence of leadership on campus or within the community. International students are eligible.
