Intended to encourage and aid students from Southern Arizona who have an interest in attending Purdue University, the Scholarship Fund was established in 1997. The Fund is designed as an endowment, with scholarships financed by earnings from Fund investments. The principal is held and invested by the Purdue Foundation.
As of June 30, 2012 the book value of the Fund was over $30,000 and the Scholarship Account was over $4,000. These balances permit the Club to grant one $2,500 one-year scholarship for the next few years.
High school seniors applying to Purdue University who have been a resident of
Sothern
Arizona for at least two years. Scholarship recipients will
be selected based on a record of achievement and leadership in
areas beyond academics, and will be approved by the Purdue
Division of Financial Aid.
