University of Arizona Black Alumni Scholarship

Seniors admitted to the UA (or current UA students ) with a demonstrated level of commitment to the African American community. Applicants must be Arizona residents, US Citizens or Permanent Residents and have a 2.75 GPA or better.

To be considered for a UABA scholarship, you must meet the requirements and submit (a) a typed, one - page personal statement on the topic found on the website (b) current high school and/or college transcript(s); (c) a completed application and (d) a letter of recommendation . Scholarship winners must be enrolled a s a full - time student (min.of 12 units per semester) at the UA for Fall 2014.

Purdue Club of Southern Arizona Scholarship

Intended to encourage and aid students from Southern Arizona who have an interest in attending Purdue University, the Scholarship Fund was established in 1997. The Fund is designed as an endowment, with scholarships financed by earnings from Fund investments. The principal is held and invested by the Purdue Foundation.

As of June 30, 2012 the book value of the Fund was over $30,000 and the Scholarship Account was over $4,000. These balances permit the Club to grant one $2,500 one-year scholarship for the next few years.

High school seniors applying to Purdue University who have been a resident of Sothern Arizona for at least two years. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on a record of achievement and leadership in areas beyond academics, and will be approved by the Purdue Division of Financial Aid.

Deadline: Jan. 15, 2014

Award: $2,500

Dairly Council of Arizona $12,000 Scholarship

Is Your ‘Stache Worth the Cash? Dairy plays such an important role in fueling active minds and bodies. Now, dairy can also help you earn a college scholarship. Simply take a picture of your best milk moustache and tell them why and how dairy moo-ves you for the chance to win. Make sure a dairy product (milk, cheese, yogurt) is visible along with your moustache.
  • 1st Place: $12,000 
  • 2nd Place: $10,000 
  • 3rd Place: $8,000 

One of the photos must include a visible dairy product. Scholarship nominees must be Arizona residents eligible for the 2014 term or be currently enrolled with a minimum of 12 credit hours at any Arizona university. Date for the first drawing will be Friday, August 23, 2013 and the last drawing will be on Friday, November 8, 2013. Entries may also be submitted to “Scholarship Entry” P.O.
