Annie’s Sustainable Agriculture Scholarship Application. Sustainable and organic agriculture is at the heart of everything they do. That’s why each year they award scholarships to students through their Sustainable Agriculture Scholarship program. They're proud to support the next generation of farmers committed to sustainable farming practices by offering $100,000 in funds to students studying sustainable agriculture.

Annie’s Sustainable Agriculture Scholarship Program is open to full time undergraduate and graduate students studying at an accredited 2 or 4 year college or graduate school in the U.S. for the 2014/2015 school year. Students must be focusing studies on sustainable agriculture. International students may apply as long as they are studying at a U.S. school.

Annie’s accepts applications postmarked between October 1, 2013 and December 2nd 2013. If you are chosen to receive an award, you will be notified by April 15th, 2014, and funds will be dispersed directly to your school on or around July 15, 2014.

The application consists of two parts- your application and your supporting documents. Complete the application cover page, sign the form and draft a personal statement. Your supporting documents consist of an official copy of your transcript and two letters of recommendation from someone who can speak to your commitment to Sustainable Agriculture. The letters of recommendation must be from contacts that are NOT related to you. Letters of recommendation should be in a sealed envelope and the writer should sign the seal.

Ruth Abernathy Presidential Scholarship

Since 1995, the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance has awarded scholarships to outstanding undergraduate and graduate student members. The Ruth Abernathy Presidential Scholarship, developed by the past presidents of AAHPERD to honor deserving students, is awarded to three undergraduate students and two graduate students in January of each year. All scholarships are presented at the AAHPERD National Convention & Exposition held in the spring.

Undergraduate awards are $1,250 each and graduate awards are $1,750 each. Recipients also receive a complimentary three-year AAHPERD membership.

NNOGC Four -Year Petroleum Industry Scholarship

Navajo Nation Oil and Gas Company (NNOGC) will provide up to two, four-year scholarships for Navajo undergraduates pursuing a bachelor’s degree in geology or petroleum, mechanical, or chemical engineering. The four-year scholarship will cover the student’s tuition, books and campus living expenses during their pursuit of a qualified degree.

The scholarship award will begin with the fall 2013 semester and we are now accepting applications from students who desire a career in the oil and gas industry. The scholarship opportunity is open to students entering college in fall 2013 or who are continuing college in 2013. Scholarship details

Award amounts are determined by the NGS Scholarship Committee following an evaluation of the Financial Needs Analysis of each applicant. Undergraduate scholarships are renewable until the bachelor's degree is earned. There is no funding available for graduate students.

The NGS Scholarship Committee reviews all applications. Awards are made based on the field of study, and academic excellence and achievement. Successful candidates will be notified by e-mail. All decisions of the NGS Scholarship Committee are final.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be enrolled members of the Navajo Nation who will be full-time students at an accredited college or university.
• Priority will be given to the math, engineering and environmental studies.
• Recipients must be juniors in college during the time the scholarship is used and must have, and maintain, a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

APHA's 2013 Get Ready Scholarship - $500 Award.

To raise awareness about emergency preparedness, American Public Health Association is offering its fourth annual Get Ready Scholarship. I. ELIGIBILITY

The 2013 Get Ready Scholarship is open to:

a) U.S. high school seniors graduating in 2013 who plan to further their education at a college, university or certified trade school in the summer or fall of 2013;
b) Currently enrolled U.S. college or university students who will be continuing their studies at the undergraduate or graduate level in in the summer or fall of 2013;
c) Currently enrolled U.S. college or university graduate students who will be continuing their studies at the graduate level in the summer or fall of 2013.

Previous Get Ready Scholarship winners are not eligible.

American Foreign Service Association (AFSA) Financial Aid Scholarship - $1,500 - $4,000 Award

This scholarship is for students who have at least one parent who is a member of AFSA. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must attend or will be attending full-time as undergraduate students at a two- or four-year accredited college, university, community college, art school, or conservatory stateside or overseas. Applicants must maintain a satisfactory academic record (cumulative 2.0 GPA), demonstrate financial need, and complete their undergraduate degree in four years.

Frame My Future Scholarship Contest - $1000

This scholarship is for students attending a US college/university full-time for the 2013-2014 academic year (community college, undergraduate, or graduate school). To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be legal US residents. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must create an original entry piece that reflects the given topic. The piece may be a photograph, collage, poem, drawing, painting, graphic design, typed essay, scrapbook style page, or anything that can be created within one image. By participating in the Scholarship Marathon, students will enjoy the encouragement of their counselors and friends as they find free money for college.

Because the Scholarship Marathon is a virtual event, our CBO partners have the option to either host their students for the event, or to encourage their students to participate from home. Furthermore, it allows you and your students to participate for as long or as little time as you'd like. However, keep in mind that everyone who participates must have computer and internet access.

Buick Achievers Scholarship Program: $2,000 - $25,000

This scholarship is for high school seniors, high school graduates, and current post-secondary undergraduate students who plan to enroll full-time in an undergraduate program at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States or Puerto Rico for the entire upcoming academic year. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must plan to major in a course of study that focuses on engineering/technology or select design- and business-related areas of study. 100 Black Men of America Future Leader Scholarship Program

This scholarship is for high school seniors and college undergraduate students who will maintain full-time status at an accredited, post-secondary institution beginning in the fall of the current year. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater, plan to attend school for an entire academic year, and have completed 50 hours of "active" community service within the past 12 months with certified documentation. Applicants must also have leadership involvement (such as students who have held an office as a president, treasurer, etc., in high school, college, or an organization; students who have been captains of a team; students that have started an organization or developed a program or item that helped to benefit the community at large; etc.). Scholarships are awarded on an equal opportunity basis regardless of race, sex, creed, or religious preference. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit a 600-word essay addressing one of five given 
topics.
