STATE LEGISLATION IN SUPPORT OF UNDOCUMENTED STUDENT EDUCATION

Even though the DREAM Act has not been passed nationwide, many states inspired by the bill have passed their own legislation helping undocumented students gain easier access to higher education.
College Greenlight has created an alphabetically organized list of these states, including exactly what laws they have passed, and the steps a student must take to qualify for them. If available, there is a link to the text of each state’s bill, as well as links to relevant resources for each state.
As more and more states continue to pass similar laws, the list will be updated accordingly.  This can be a crucial resource to any undocumented students searching for information or assistance in their transition to college.

FLY-IN PROGRAMS FOR UNDERREPRESENTED STUDENTS!

From College Greenlight:

"Visiting campus is one of the most important steps in deciding if a particular college is right for you. Because of this, most colleges offer weekend programs where students can spend a couple nights on campus, and get to know the students and faculty who bring the college to life.
However, travelling to these campuses can be extremely expensive. Click on the link below to show a list of colleges that offer travel assistance for students who demonstrate financial need.
Almost all of these programs take place in the Fall, so bookmark this list as we continue to add new colleges."
