Michigan Auto Law is offering an annual scholarship for college students who were victims of car accidents earlier in their lives and who have overcome their injuries.

Michigan Auto Law Car Accident Injury Survivor Scholarship serves as an important reminder that each and every person injured in an auto accident is a person, not a number or a claim. Today, most of the insurance industry uses injury claims software that dehumanizes people by putting a dollar value on a case. When personal injuries and pain and suffering are given average dollar settlement values, we lose sight of what it means when someone is hurt in a serious crash and how drastically a life can be changed.
 
Applicants must:

• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident,
• Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university within the United States,
• Have sustained injuries from a car or truck accident,
• Have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.

The Anne Ford and Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarships

Anne Ford Scholarship

The 2013-2014 scholarship application is now available. All application items must be postmarked by December 31, 2013. The Anne Ford Scholarship is a $10,000 scholarship ($2,500/year over four years) granted to a graduating high school senior with a documented learning disability who will be enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree program in the fall of 2014.

Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship

The 2013-2014 scholarship application is now available. All application items must be postmarked by December 31, 2013. The Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship is a $2,500 one-time scholarship awarded to a graduating high school senior with a documented learning disability who will be enrolled in a two-year community college, a vocational or technical training program, or a specialized program for students with LD in the fall of 2014.

Girls Impact the World Film Festival Scholarship

This scholarship is for high school and undergraduate students who are 25 years of age or under as of the application deadline. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled full-time and be under 25 years of age. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit a 3- to 5-minute film that raises awareness about current issues affecting women and girls and/or proposes solutions to current challenges faced by women. Winners receive a monetary prize as well as an internship opportunity at Creative Visions in Los Angeles, and an official screening will take place at the Harvard University campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

This scholarship is for military students currently enrolled in college and for children with a parent serving in a branch of the US Armed Forces. The Christophers Video Contest for College Students

SMART Scholarship

This scholarship is for current high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire 2014-2015 school year. Youth Free Expression Project Film Contest

This contest is for students who are 19 years of age or younger and residents of the United States and its territories. To enter, students must submit a short film that is 4 minutes or less in length on this year's topic, "Video games in the cross hairs." The film must address why video games are important to them. Entries can be videos of any kind, including documentary, animation, experimental, satire, fictional narrative, or music video. Films will be judged on content, artistic and technical merit, and creativity.

Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Competition

The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2014 competition.

• Any high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to apply. 
• Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks. 
• College students are not eligible to apply. 
• Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
